I installed WordPress and Dukapress for testing on my webspace. I followed the instructions up to creating a checkout, thank you and product page.

…But how do I display the shop now? It’s not explained in the instructions. As it is now, I have a navigation menu on top with “home”, “checkout”, “thank you” and I see the blog instead of the shop when I visit my website.

What I want is categories like “men”, “women”, “kids” and “news” (latter will be a blog). When people visit the shop, they should directly see a page with the newest products added or bestsellers, not the blog. When they click a category, they should be able to choose from subcategories like t-shirts, sweaters, pants somewhere, either as a drop-down menu, a sidebar or images in the content part of the page.

Please add instructions or a tutorial on how to do that.

    Have you created the products??

    Have a look at these:
    http://dukapress.org/docs/short-codes/
    http://dukapress.org/docs/how-to-create-a-new-product/

Once you have the products created, then you need to create “Grid” display pages for your categories.
