Moved site from test server to new server – no images

Hi there, have been testing a site using Dukapress and all fine, added images in for 200+ products, site on test server looks great. I took an XML export of both the pages and then the products using the Export option in WordPress.

Went to new server which had a clean install of WordPress on it and installed Dukapress etc. I then used the WordPress Importer plugin to import all the pages/post information for the site and it also imported all of the Dukapress product info in perfectly. I then uploaded all the product images into the correct folders on the new server (2012/01 etc.) but Dukapress does not see them at all.

How can I get the products to see the images that they were uploaded with or do I have to re-upload all of the images now 🙁

Was the test server on your local machine (localhost)? I think there’s a problem with WordPress when importing media files from a localhost installation.

Please try:
1. Exporting the Database itself and importing (as well as the images) OR
2. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/import-post-thumbnails

No, it wasn’t a localhost it was http://testurl.com then I changed this address in the XML to http://newurl.com but I imported the XML before adding the images so that might have been it?
