    A quick question: what is the field ‘New Price’ in the Product options used for? I can’t see any mention of it in the documentation.

    Price: 30.00 <— a line(like the cross) over the word and number.
    new price: 20.00

    allow customer to see the hisotric price.
    new price is actual price when you put inot the cart

    Beware! There are many reports of users not being able to remove the ‘new price’ once you’ve set it.

    Though, to be fair, removing it is as easy as deleting the corresponding custom field ( http://dukapress.org/docs/custom-fields-used/ ).
