Well to do what you suggest, you would need to modify DukaPress to call in that plugin.
However, have you considered using CSS to make the numbering look like the one you desire?
Could you please give me links to some of the pages that do not work?

I am sorry that you ran into this.
Can you hide it with CSS? If you inspect the element, you can see that it has a CSS class that you can address in your theme stylesheet. You can then easily hide it.
